Today our class went out onto the courts to learn about perimeters.We learned how to work out the perimeters of a rectangle and a square.We also learned how to use stage 4,stage 5 and stage 6,strategies.The best part was using team work with my partner.

My Maths Goal

Today I did a Maths test with Mrs Manuyag. I learned:

• I am below the right stage for adding and subtraction.
• I am at the right stage in my times tables.
• I am at the right stage in my fractions.

My goal is to learn some new strategies for addition and subtraction.

Turning Solids to Liquid to Solid experiments.

How to turn something to Solid to Liquid to Solid.
Goal:For our experiment we were aiming to turn something from solid to liquid to solid.Materials:

• Raro
• Jug
• Ice block sticks
• Water
• Cups
• Wooden spoon

Ingredients
Step 1:Open the Raro packet.

Step 2:Pour the Raro into  water jug.
Step 3:Add water to the water jug.

Step 4:Use the wooden spoon and  mix it all together until it dissolves.

Step 5:Pour the liquid into the Cups.

Step 6:Add the Ice block sticks in the Cups.

Step 7: Put the cups into the freezer.
Step 8:Wait until it turns into a solid and then you can eat your ice block!

Conclusion: When you put the liquid into the cold (freezer) it  turns into a solid.
